Why should I learn my Enneagram type with a coach?

Relying on tests is not the best way to find out your type! They are based on algorithms and while they can narrow down the results, it cannot measure your internal world — the purpose of the Enneagram. Many mistypes happen this way (that happened to me! MORE THAN A FEW TIMES!). Online tests shine a light on part of the story, but it will tell you nothing about YOUR story. A coach helps you make it yours.
Other things you get from an online test:
- Limited insights based on generic algorithms.
- Risk of mistyping due to oversimplified or inaccurate assessments.
- General advice that may not account for your unique life experiences.

Did you know that diagnoses like obsessive-compulsive disorder, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, ADHD, and more can actually make people look like specific enneagram types because of external behaviors? Do you some cultures have the “vibe” or “values” of certain enneagram types?
We don’t type on behaviors, but we don’t self-type either because… it’s too tricky. Someone who isn’t living in your world needs to cut through the noise and ask the right questions — whether there is an underlying issue, a type-look-alike, or a possibly mistype because of a nuanced biological instinctual variant — self typing is not the vibe.
