This is what we believe at Table for 9 Coaching:

Someone “like you” is — without a doubt — capable of something “like that”.

We are not afraid of hard things because we’re not small.

Self knowledge should always speak your language.

People can ONLY be empowered uniquely.

The table has room for everyone, and your table should always have room for the real you.

The mission is simple:

“… to help people show up to and live a

healthy, authentic, and complete life

that they are proud of.”

Table for 9 Coaching uses a person-first, non spiritual, psychology-backed approach to understanding the 9 personality types so that the ground is neutral.

AN IRON FIST IN A VELVET GLOVE

Jackie Contessa, referred to affectionately as, “An Iron Fist in a Velvet Glove,”

is passionate beyond belief about making sure that self-knowledge is demystified, once and for all. She is a Life Coach and a Personality Coach/Enneagram Coach. She is a dynamic, out-of-the-box thinker and champion for personalities who believe they are limitless. Her passion is simple:

giving people permission to know themselves, be themselves, and show up as themselves by empowering them in a way that speaks their language.

Jackie is a heart-centered giver with a remarkable sense of purpose. Her down-to-earth approach provides a safe space for the reformer, the giver, the achiever, the individualist, the observer, the guardian, the enthusiast, the challenger, and the peacemaker to take their places at the table, whatever that means for them. She is an obsessive learner and avid question-asker who firmly believes everyone’s personality is dying to shine through and dominate the world — they just need to be asked the right question.

Jackie was born, raised, and can’t get away from the Garden State (eat a bagel and deal) and hates that bios have to be written in third person. That’s kind of weird. When she’s not cracking personality codes, transforming lives, or helping randos in public discover their personality type, you can find her binge-watching The Office and celebrating Diet Coke O’Clock every day. She lives in NJ with her husband and the sweetest cat in America, Jetta (full name: Dr. Jetta Picklestein). If she’s not there, she’s in Montauk (probably crying).

For the sake of personality theory:

her favorite quote is by President Abraham Lincoln:

“If I had 8 hours to cut down a tree, I would spend the first 6 sharpening my ax.”

*flies with both.

Why Coaching? Why the Enneagram?

Life coaching is a process where the coach helps an individual dig beneath the surface of thoughts and beliefs, help them understand and give language to their internal obstacles, fears, desires, and motivations, to benefit the client’s wellbeing. A coach helps people examine different thoughts within their psyche, trace it back to the roots, and help them analyze what is important to them. While the client makes the final decisions on their own, a coach can help by bringing clarity.

We use The Enneagram, a personality typing assessment given verbally, that narrows down all people into 9 main types, just as a starting point. The Enneagram is an incredible starting point because it gives language to things that are hard to explain, like core fears, desires, and motivations.
